INTRODUCTION CEREMONY OF THE YEAR 1 STUDENTS

On Monday the 13th September 2011, an Introduction Ceremony was held by the DENSTA committee for first year students in Lecture Hall 2, Student Development Centre (PKP), Tun Syed Nasir Residential College. This ceremony was (obviously) attended by the first year students and the DENSTA committee and also helped with the advent of DENSTA advisor, Dr. Shariffah Shuriana Abd Shukor as the officiator.

The purpose of the ceremony held is to welcome the first year students who have successfully found a place in the Faculty of Dentistry UKM and also to introduce the Student Union of Faculty of Dentistry, a.k.a. Dental Students Association (DENSTA). The students have been given information regarding the DENSTA committee and all consented to the services offered by DENSTA.

Apart from introducing DENSTA, students were engaged in an introductory session during the 'ice breaking' event. This event enabled us DENSTA committee to get up close and personal with the new students, and not to mention, establish a healthy interaction with them. In addition, students were given the opportunity to voice out their misunderstanding and difficulties since they are in a new learning environment here. UKM Student Council representative (PMUKM) for the Faculty of Dentistry, Zalikha Adila / 4 who also attended the ceremony gave the new students a chance to ask about UKM in general.

We hope with this program, all students can understand the vision and mission brought by DENSTA, hence continue to support us in our future endeavours. Thank you.
