BAKTI SISWA 2019

GREETINGS EVERYONE!

As we all know, for this year, Bakti Siswa comprises of 3 subprogram which one had been successfully organized earlier this month. This will help to provide more paths for UKM Dental students in engaging themselves with volunteerism.

Following the first subprogram, another program will be held at Matu Social Organization School, tomorrow. We hope that through this program, everyone will learn the value of humanity while helping others in improving their oral health.

We would like to express our gratitude to Dr @afiqazizi87 and Dr @muhammadkhiratti , UKM Dental postgraduates for taking their time and helping us providing the dental check up services for the children and some of their parents. Since this is our second visit here, we were able to compare the oral health status for some of the children and this helps us to provide better management plan for them
. .
The last few pictures are the shoe racks that we donated to the school to improve their facility.

Sometimes, even the smallest thing can make the biggest change 😊

Though we mainly aspired to provide Oral Healthcare exposure for them, we did include few interesting activities such as coloring and origami. This helps us to bond with them, thus give them the chance to have some fun! (We had fun too!)

Just like last year, this time we once again presented the children with the Good Dentist and The Good Teeth awards. Good Dentist were awarded to two children who had spent almost a year making their own effort taking notes on their classmates regarding their toothbrushing frequency and sweet food intake. We glad to hear that they wanted to become dentist in the future. Hopefully, their dream will come true 🌸 Meanwhile, Good Teeth awards went to those with zero cavity on their teeth. Love to see these kids taking good care of their teeth 😊



Congratulations to committee members and all volunteers lead by @yxsminhussin for organizing this successful event 👏🏻 and thank you Dr Atika for spending Dr’s Saturday morning with us. 😊

Our highest hope is that we can do more volunteering program in the future to help those in need. #baktisiswa .
