39th APDSA CONGRESS ::DAY 3::

The next morning, U21 United Nations Millennium Development Goals (U21 UNMDG) workshop was held until lunch time. Some of us stayed at the hotel as they were participating in the Poster Presentation of the Scientific Research Competition; while the rest of us who were free until 4pm, decided to go out to the Platinum shopping mall. You can say it’s another replica of Sungei Wang with its variety of shops selling clothes, shoes, and souvenirs. Of course, the art of bargaining really comes in handy when shopping there.

We got back to the hotel just in time as they were assembling everybody again for the Siam Square Chill out tour. We joined our groups and got on the bus at 5pm. Traffic in Bangkok is similar to KL whereby it’s congested during rush hour (and I mean, really congested!). We arrived at Siam Square (similar to Bukit Bintang) at 8pm for dinner and of course, more sightseeing. The Siam Square consists of many shopping malls including Siam Discovery, Siam Center, Siam Paragon, BTS Siam and MBK center. It comes to no surprise also when some of us got lost halfway when finding our way back to our rendezvous point. But I’m sure glad that we managed to meet up with everybody again that night.
