39th APDSA CONGRESS ::DAY 5::

This day marks the end of the APDSA congress and the beginning of the APDSA post-tour program in Pattaya. We said our goodbyes to our friends who are departing back to their respective countries and those who will continue their stay in Bangkok. The 5 of us UKM students joined the rest of the participants as we boarded the bus on a 2-hour journey to Pattaya.

We first headed for the Khaokheow Open Zoo. Since we were on a tight schedule, the sightseeing of the place was done by riding on the tram. We were brought to the Animal show site where we were entertained by the talented animals including the hyena, pelicans, tigers, otters and many more. After that, it was lunch time at a seafood restaurant. We headed for the A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel at 2pm and checked in half an hour later. We were lucky to get the sea view from our room balcony. That afternoon, we took the time to rest before doing more sightseeing activities. At 5pm, we assembled at the lobby as we about to head for Pattaya Park Beach Hotel for our dinner at the revolving restaurant on the 54th floor.

The view from the restaurant was spectacular as we could see 360o of Pattaya with the breathtaking scenery of the sunset overlooking the Thai Gulf. Funny thing about the restaurant was that sometimes we forget where were seated since the floors under the chairs and tables were the ones moving around the all-you-can-eat-buffet table! It’s a good thing to remember your table number to avoid confusion.

Once we were done with dinner, we headed for the Tiffany’s Show at 8pm. The show started at 9pm. We were entertained and dazzled by the extravagantly, beautiful costumes, toe tapping choreography, special lighting and effects, music and the incredible talents of the performers. Some of us even took the opportunity to be photographed along with the Tiffanys after the show. Enough for today’s activity, we headed back to the Royal Cruise Hotel.
