39th APDSA CONGRESS ::DAY 7::
How time flies. It seems like yesterday we first arrived in Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok. Well, all good things must come to an end. Yet, we can always make them last longer when we remember them. After a breakfast at the hotel, we checked out of our rooms at 9am and boarded the bus en route to the airport. We got there at 11am. Since our flight was scheduled at 7.40pm, we pretty much hang around there near the check-in counter, keeping ourselves occupied by watching movies, playing Sudoku, etc. By 5pm, we checked in our baggage. Still having time to spare, there was more shopping to be done once we were inside the terminal before heading to the departure gate.
At 8pm, we were called to board the plane. After a 2-hour journey, we were relieved to hear “Selamat pulang ke Malaysia” announced by the stewardess as we landed safely in Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 10.30pm (local time).
The experience we gained and the friends we made from APDSA is something truly worth cherished. We hoped to join more international congresses like this one as to widen our knowledge in dentistry, cast out a wider social network and to travel around. We would like to thank the APDSA Thailand LOC for making our stay in Bangkok and Pattaya an enjoyable one and the event a success. Also, we would like to thank to the Faculty of Dentistry UKM for the monetary contribution for our APDSA congress. It means a lot to us. To those who are interested in joining such international dental congresses, do take the opportunity to go for it as it definitely once-in-a-lifetime experience!
